I LUV MY CAN!
Nation-Wide competition I won around recycling cans, which I made a Couture Can Bustier.
I came across this competition,"I LUV MY CAN. "i luv my can is a brand new competition challenging lovers of canned drinks to get creative with your beverage can. The top prize is not only a cool £1,000, but also a year’s supply of your favourite canned drink.
Straight away i thought i would make something fashionable, hence me creating a bustier.
A few weeks later i found out that i have become a FINALIST. I have won the catergory of " Most fashionable can" , i got the email saying ..

Congratulations! We are pleased to announce your entry titled ‘Couture Can Bustier’ has been named a finalist in the iluvmycan competition! Your entry impressed the judging panel with your canny creation winning the category titled ‘Most Fashionable Can. Not only does this mean you could get your hands on the £1,000 prize and a years supply of your favourite canned drink but a gorgeous trophy will be on its way to you!
If you can provide us with your address, a contact telephone number and your age we can get in touch for the final stage of the competition later this month.
Having impressed the judges we would like you to send your canny creation to us for the final and for auction to raise money for our charity, the Art Fund. If you can tell us a bit about the size, weight and condition of your entry we can arrange to have it sent to us via either post of courier.

Then i found out my piece was put into the daily mail page 47, to advertise the competition.
THAT is such an oppotunity in itself to even have my piece put into the daily mail!. I hope this opens many doors for me.
then ... My local newspaper: the gazette, did a feature on me because i was a finalist.

I got a phone call from ILUVMYCAN telling me that they were in love with my piece and that i had won the overall competition.
I was gobsmacked. I couldnt believe it.
I won a £1000 and year supply of canned drink( which i chose vodca and cranberry).
The gazette jumped straight in there and did an even bigger spread of me within the paper.
This is my trophy i got :)..
